The Terrace Women’s Resource Centre Society (TWRCS) is pleased to announce that X’staam Hana'ax, Nicole Halbauer, has been appointed as Interim Executive Director of the Terrace Women’s Resource Centre.
Halbauer stepped into the role after the October retirement of Rosemary Craig, who served the centre from 2014-2021.
Craig served in her role through years of growth and change, including the onset of COVID-19. Her years of service and dedication to the Centre has seen an increase in activities and resources which help families, and individuals and promote community engagement.
“We wish Rosemary all the best in her retirement and recognize and appreciate her dedication and passion to the Women’s Resource Centre and its members over her time with the Society,” says Board Chair, Emily Suderman.
“We are also grateful to Nicole for stepping into the interim role of Executive Director.”
Halbauer has previously worked with the TWRC as a Community Developer, working to bring meaningful and positive change to our communities. She brings a passion for creating inclusive and equitable programming for the Terrace community.
She hopes the Centre will continue to be a community hub for people to gather and connect.
Halbauer will serve in this role through the Spring, when the Board of the TWRCS anticipates having a new Executive Director in place.
