The Terrace Women’s Resource Centre Society has had an extremely busy year with our amazing team of individuals. As we begin year 2024, we are saddened to report that due to circumstances far beyond our control, we have had very limited success in acquiring the funding required to sustain the 2023 staff and programming.
Skeena Child Care Resource and Referral, Social Service Coordinator (outreach, referral, and resources) and the G.R.I.T. youth program (years 8 – 12) will continue unchanged.
Previously the organization had the ability to provide several programs and resources that were not directly funded, however due to lack of available resources for we have had to decrease staff and programming
Imagination Library has been discontinued (We will continue to support families currently on the program up until the remaining annual financial contribution has completed).
Income Tax Filing Services will be organized through our Social Services Coordinator, Birgit H. Manninen, and completed by our Volunteers.
Our doors remain Open, and services are available (CCRR) Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and (TWRCS) Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
We appreciate the community’s consideration, kindness, and grace during this transition time, and we hope to be up and running at capacity sometime in the near future.
