Dear community, Thank you for your patience over t Dear community,
Thank you for your patience over the past weeks as the Society enters a new chapter. We have had many people reach out to us to express care for the Centre and its staff, and an interest in being involved, and we are so grateful! As we begin the month of April, we are acutely feeling the absence of our six beloved CCRR employees whom we’ve had to lay-off, and the big empty space they leave at the Centre.
Despite the setback, we are, nonetheless, feeling a spirit of optimism as we welcome spring and new opportunities for the Centre to grow and evolve. We know the Centre has had many ups and downs over its nearly 45 years, and still has sustained its important work and positive community impacts. We are determined and committed to continuing our mandate of building community, reducing barriers, and promoting equity in Terrace and beyond.
We'd like to build on the momentum and collaborative energy from our small Open House engagement session with you in February, and connect with you at the Centre on Saturdays and Sundays, from 1-4pm, all through April, beginning April 6-7. Please join us for coffee and tea. We’ll collaborate on visioning our many possible futures, brainstorming, organizing ourselves, and focusing-in on strategies and direction, while making and renewing connections. Keep checking back on FB for updates. We hope you will join us and please share this post with your networks. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
